The MA Snooker District Championship 2026 commenced with an impressive opening ceremony in Uthal, drawing participation from prominent players and local dignitaries. The tournament was inaugurated by Superintendent SSP Office Uthal, Haq Nawaz, who formally opened the event by striking the opening shot.
Two thrilling matches were played on the opening day, featuring Muhammad Ahmed Doda, Noor-ul-Haq, Muaz Doda and Sameer Sheikh, while refereeing duties were performed by Atif Samad and Saleem Sheikh.
Speakers highlighted the importance of snooker in promoting positive engagement among youth, stating that indoor sports enhance mental focus, discipline, strategic thinking and physical coordination. They emphasized that such activities help steer young people away from negative influences, particularly excessive mobile and social media usage.
Patron-in-chief Wadera Ghulam Nabi Gango praised the organizers and expressed hope for the tournament’s continued success, calling sports development a shared social responsibility.
