Independent Report
Lahore, Jan 25:
Following heavy snowfall in Murree, traffic has been fully restored after a successful snow clearance operation carried out on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. After nearly 30 hours of continuous snowfall, authorities cleared 48 major and minor roads spanning 185 kilometers.
A dedicated snow clearance cell remained active round the clock, utilizing modern machinery, mechanical snow sweepers, and heavy-duty bulldozers. Continuous salt sprinkling was also carried out to prevent road slipperiness.
Key routes, including Mall Road, Kashmir Point, Pindi Point, Lower Topa, Jhika Gali, and surrounding areas, were reopened, leading to the restoration of normal life and tourist activity in Murree.
