Pakistan, Turkey Agree to Expand Rice Trade

Islamabad – Pakistan and Turkey agreed to enhance bilateral rice trade, focusing on competitive pricing and increased export volume. Officials discussed supplying Basmati and non-Basmati rice at zero or minimal tariffs under a free trade agreement, targeting $5 billion in bilateral trade. Technical delegations are expected to meet in the coming weeks to finalize agreements and facilitate business-to-business collaboration.
