Lahore – Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari announced the 2026 Ramadan Safety Package valued at Rs47 billion, benefiting 42 million families through the Ramadan Card program. The initiative will provide essential items at subsidized rates and support local communities with open-air Iftar arrangements. Bukhari highlighted the government’s efforts to curb profiteering and stockpiling while ensuring quality food distribution. Field hospitals, facilitation markets, and other welfare projects remain government priorities. The program aims to improve access to basic necessities during Ramadan while promoting transparency, accountability, and support for low-income households across Punjab.
