Independent Report – Lahore, January 29, 2026:
Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has implemented comprehensive and foolproof security arrangements for the upcoming three-match T20 International series between Pakistan and Australia. According to PSCA officials, the security plan integrates advanced technology, continuous monitoring, and strict coordination with international standards to ensure the safety of players, spectators, and city residents.
All critical points, including city entry and exit routes, Gaddafi Stadium, players’ access paths, nearby hotels, and spectator zones, are under constant surveillance. PSCA is utilizing over 750 Safe City cameras, facial recognition systems, drone patrols, and real-time monitoring through the Safe City Control Room’s digital wall to detect and respond to any suspicious activity immediately.
In addition to live monitoring, PSCA has deployed virtual patrolling officers and technical teams working round-the-clock at the Safe City headquarters. Public awareness campaigns on traffic management, alternative routes, and parking arrangements are being conducted through Safe City FM 88.6 to ensure smooth spectator movement.
The PSCA spokesperson emphasized that the authority is fully committed to providing a secure and safe environment during the T20 series. By combining drone surveillance, modern monitoring technology, and integrated security strategies, PSCA aims to guarantee uninterrupted match operations and a safe experience for cricket fans across Lahore.
