Islamabad/Peshawar/Jamshoro: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has intensified its crackdown on drug trafficking, conducting three successful operations across multiple cities and arresting five suspects while seizing 14.40 kilograms of hashish worth over PKR 1 million.
According to an ANF spokesperson, two suspects were apprehended near the Islamabad Motorway Toll Plaza after 8.2 kilograms of hashish were recovered from a vehicle during an inter-provincial drug interdiction operation. In a separate action near the Jamshoro Toll Plaza, ANF officials intercepted two motorcyclists and recovered 5 kilograms of hashish, leading to their arrest.
In another domestic drug interdiction operation on University Road, Peshawar, ANF recovered 1.2 kilograms of hashish from a suspect taken into custody.
All cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and further investigations are underway as part of ANF’s nationwide efforts to curb drug smuggling and narcotics distribution.
