Lahore, Feb 4:
A Lahore district court has extended the physical remand of five accused in the Bhati Gate tragedy case by five days. The case involves the deaths of a woman and her daughter who fell into an uncovered manhole.
Judicial Magistrate Shafqat Abbas expressed strong dissatisfaction over the pace of investigation and questioned police performance. The court directed authorities to present the accused again on February 9. The victims’ family told the court that negligence and lack of safety measures caused the tragedy, urging strict accountability.
