Islamabad, Feb 4:
Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja has arrived in Kuwait on a one-day official visit to represent Pakistan at the fifth General Assembly of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO). During the visit, she will engage with ministers from member states and global digital leaders.
The minister is scheduled to address the opening session of the DCO General Assembly and participate in a thematic ministerial roundtable focusing on artificial intelligence, digital development, and related challenges. She will also hold meetings with international policymakers to discuss digital transformation and cooperation.
Shaza Fatima is expected to meet DCO Secretary General Deema AlYahya, particularly in the context of the upcoming transfer of the organization’s presidency to Pakistan. Bilateral meetings are also planned with ministers from Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Rwanda, Azerbaijan, and Kuwait, reflecting Pakistan’s growing role in global digital policymaking.
