Islamabad: Minister of State for National Health, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed Barth, stated that private medical colleges will charge a minimum fee of PKR 1.8 million. Institutions exceeding this limit must provide documented justification. The PMDC Act 2023 does not directly authorize fee reduction, but government interventions aim to prevent undue financial burden on students and families. Hospitals and medical colleges are required to maintain quality standards while offering transparency in fee structures. OPD services at PIMS and Poly Clinic continue in two shifts, prioritizing urgent tests to ensure comprehensive patient care across the country.
