Abdul Rauf Baloch Issues Stern Warning Against Delays, Demands High-Standard Development for Public Relief

Secretary Local Government and Rural Development, Government of Balochistan, Abdul Rauf Baloch has underscored that timely and quality-driven completion of development projects is crucial for ensuring public welfare, minimizing hardships, and accelerating social and economic progress across the district.
He expressed these views during an extensive visit to district Lasbela, where he reviewed the pace, quality, and transparency of various ongoing development schemes. As part of the visit, the secretary inspected the District Council Lasbela’s main office, Uthal Bazaar, and several development projects being implemented under the District Council Lasbela and Municipal Committee Uthal through on-site assessments.
Secretary Local Government Board Shujat Ali, Chief Officer District Council Lasbela Ayaz Gorgij, Assistant Director Local Government Asif Rind, Chief Officer Municipal Committee Uthal Khan Muhammad, Assistant Engineer Fida, and Ghaffar Ahmed accompanied him. Officials concerned briefed the secretary in detail on project progress, technical and administrative issues, and different stages of completion.
While issuing directives, Abdul Rauf Baloch stated that, in accordance with the special instructions of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Provincial Adviser for Local Government and Rural Development Nawabzada Ameer Hamza Zehri, all development schemes in Lasbela must be completed strictly within the approved timelines. He categorically warned that unjustified delays in development projects would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
The secretary emphasized that adherence to timelines and maintenance of quality standards are essential to ensure uninterrupted provision of basic services, reduce daily difficulties faced by citizens, and support sustainable socio-economic uplift in the district. He instructed officers to maintain strict transparency and merit at every stage of implementation and cautioned against compromising on quality.
Abdul Rauf Baloch further stated that public welfare-focused development projects remain a top priority of the Government of Balochistan, urging all relevant officers to discharge their responsibilities with integrity, dedication, and professional efficiency so that development benefits reach the people directly and effectively.
