Islamabad, Feb 9: Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar on Sunday met delegations of lawyers from Islamabad, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal and Faisalabad Bar Associations, holding detailed discussions on issues faced by the legal community and strengthening bar institutions.
During the meeting, administrative and professional facilitation for lawyers, capacity building of bar associations and welfare-related matters were reviewed. The law minister said the government considers lawyers a fundamental pillar of the justice system and is committed to improving their working environment through practical measures.
Senator Tarar emphasized that strengthening bar institutions is a key component of the government’s legal reform agenda. He also stressed the need for sustained engagement and effective coordination between the government and the legal fraternity to address challenges faced by lawyers across the country.
Representatives of the bar associations appreciated the Ministry of Law and Justice for its cooperation and constructive approach. They expressed hope that continued dialogue and coordination would lead to timely resolution of issues and further improvement in professional facilities for lawyers.
