Nawaz Sharif Meets Uzbek Envoy, Discusses Economic Cooperation

Lahore, Feb 9: Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Sunday met Uzbek Ambassador Ali Sher Takhtayev to discuss matters of mutual interest and avenues for strengthening bilateral economic cooperation.
During the meeting, the Uzbek ambassador delivered a letter from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, praising Nawaz Sharif’s role in initiating development projects for public welfare in Pakistan. The letter also commended Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s governance and social initiatives.
President Mirziyoyev formally invited Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to visit Uzbekistan to further enhance bilateral ties.
Both sides emphasized expanding cooperation in trade, investment and regional connectivity, reaffirming commitment to deeper Pakistan-Uzbekistan relations based on mutual trust and economic partnership.
