Quetta, February 10: The Balochistan government has taken a significant step toward modernizing its investment and business environment with the launch of a Business Facilitation Centre (BFC), designed to provide investors with comprehensive services through a single-window digital system.
Chief Executive Officer of the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade (BBOIT), Qaim Lashari, outlined the objectives of the BFC during a training session aimed at familiarizing government focal persons with the platform’s operations. The event brought together representatives from multiple provincial departments to ensure effective adoption of the new system.
The initiative forms part of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti’s broader vision to digitize governmental procedures and enhance public service delivery. According to Lashari, the BFC software is intended to simplify workflows, promote transparency, and improve overall governance while facilitating easier access for investors.
“The Chief Minister is committed to driving digital reforms that not only strengthen institutional efficiency but also provide practical benefits to businesses and citizens alike,” Lashari stated. He emphasized that the BFC platform will reduce bureaucratic delays by consolidating all services on a unified digital interface, marking a pivotal step in the province’s reform agenda.
Participants in the training described the session as highly productive and expressed confidence that the new digital framework will bolster transparency, efficiency, and ease of doing business in Balochistan, reinforcing the province’s commitment to fostering a more investor-friendly environment.
