Islamabad, February 16 — Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi met Opposition Leader in the KP Assembly Dr. Ibadullah Khan in Islamabad to discuss the province’s current political situation and ongoing protests.
Both leaders expressed concern over road blockades across the province during protests, stating that such actions were causing hardship to citizens. They said while protest is a democratic right, disrupting public life, affecting livelihoods, and preventing patients from reaching hospitals cannot justify political activity.
The meeting also criticized the provincial government’s approach, terming prolonged road closures as harmful to public interests, especially ahead of Ramadan. They urged the federal government to take concrete measures to ensure roads are reopened and public suffering is minimized.
