Khuli Kachehri in Turbat Brings Citizens’ Grievances to Forefront, Administration Pledges Immediate Action

Turbat: In a proactive move to bridge the gap between citizens and government institutions, the Kech district administration, in coordination with FC Balochistan and District Council Kech, organized a high-profile khuli kachehri at the Circuit House in Turbat. The gathering saw the active participation of Chairman District Council Kech, Mir Othman Baloch; Assistant Commissioner Tamp, Shaikh Baloch; Additional Deputy Commissioner Kech (Revenue), Asadullah Baloch; SHO Turbat City, Abdul Ghafar Dashti; FC officials; heads of all district departments; and a large crowd of concerned residents.
The khuli kachehri became a vibrant platform for citizens to voice pressing local issues directly to senior officials. Residents highlighted critical challenges including shortages of medicines in hospitals, teacher absenteeism in schools, deteriorating road infrastructure, irregular water supply, frequent electricity load-shedding, surging inflation, and delays in ongoing development projects. The public also stressed the need to revive cross-border trade to boost local livelihoods.
Responding to these concerns, district authorities assured that swift, practical, and effective measures would be taken. Departmental heads were instructed to conduct immediate field visits, evaluate ground realities, and implement corrective actions without delay. Officials emphasized that any lapse in resolving public grievances would not be tolerated, with strict monitoring mechanisms in place to ensure accountability and performance.
Chairman District Council Kech, Mir Othman Baloch, highlighted that initiatives like the khuli kachehri strengthen trust between the administration and citizens while promoting transparency and responsiveness in governance. Participants welcomed the session as a step toward more accessible government, expressing optimism that it would lead to tangible improvements in service delivery and infrastructure across Turbat and neighboring areas.
