KALAT, Feb 17: Electricity supply was restored in Mohalla Gom after a faulty transformer was repaired and reinstalled within 24 hours, following swift action by district authorities. Residents and tribal elder Babu Rehmatullah Alizai expressed gratitude to Deputy Commissioner Munir Ahmed Durrani and other concerned officials for their timely intervention.
The transformer had reportedly remained out of order for four months, causing prolonged hardship for residents. Despite multiple repair attempts funded by locals, the issue persisted. After the matter was brought to the attention of the Deputy Commissioner, immediate coordination with the SDO WAPDA ensured prompt technical response.
Authorities confirmed that power supply has now been fully restored to the area. Residents appreciated the administration’s proactive approach and called for continued responsiveness to public service issues to prevent similar disruptions in the future.
