KALAT, Feb 17: A tragic traffic accident on the Quetta–Karachi National Highway (N-25) claimed the life of a motorcyclist near Sangdas on Tuesday, officials confirmed. According to initial reports, a Probox vehicle collided with a motorcycle, leaving the rider, identified as Haji Ali Akbar Nechari, a resident of Kheel, Kalat, critically injured. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
Rescue teams shifted the body to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities. Authorities have initiated further investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The N-25, often referred to as a dangerous highway due to frequent accidents, has witnessed multiple fatal crashes in recent years, raising concerns over road safety and enforcement of traffic regulations.
Local residents have urged authorities to ensure stricter monitoring and improved safety measures to prevent further loss of precious lives on the busy national route.
