Sibi, February 18, 2026 – A meeting of the Price Control Committee, chaired by Assistant Commissioner Sibi Mansoor Ali Shah, convened to review the pricing of essential commodities ahead of the holy month of Ramadan. The session was attended by representatives of the Anjuman Tajran, along with grocers, dairy, meat, poultry, and other retail sellers.
During the meeting, a thorough assessment of food item prices was conducted, and traders were instructed to provide maximum relief to the public during Ramadan. Mansoor Ali Shah stressed the importance of implementing reasonable reductions in the cost of essential goods and ensuring strict compliance with the official price list, which must be prominently displayed in all shops.
The Assistant Commissioner issued a stern warning that hoarding, profiteering, or violating government-set rates will not be tolerated, and offenders will face legal action. Participants pledged full cooperation with the district administration and reaffirmed their commitment to easing the burden on consumers throughout the holy month.
