Islamabad: In a significant move to curb rising crime, District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Azhar Khan has ordered a district-wide crackdown against criminal elements in Mansehra, reaffirming the police department’s commitment to maintaining law and order.
According to official sources, police teams have intensified search operations and snap checking at key entry and exit points across various police station jurisdictions. The ongoing campaign specifically targets proclaimed offenders, habitual criminals, and drug traffickers operating in the district.
Law enforcement authorities confirmed that special task teams have been mobilized to conduct intelligence-based operations. Increased patrolling and strategically placed checkpoints have also been established to monitor suspicious movements and prevent potential criminal activity.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Muhammad Azhar Khan emphasized that protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the top priority. He warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone attempting to disturb peace and urged residents to report suspicious activity through police helplines or nearby stations.
Officials stated the operation will continue until criminal networks are dismantled and lasting peace is ensured.
