NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Opens Public Complaint Hearing, Arrests Star Land Executives in Mega Fraud Case

Peshawar, February 19, 2026: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will hold a public complaint hearing on 24 February 2026 at 2 PM at its PDA Complex office in Hayatabad, Peshawar. The Director General, under Chairman Lt. Gen. (R) Nazir Ahmad Butt’s directives, will personally hear citizens’ complaints regarding corruption, misappropriation of public funds, and fraudulent schemes.
In a related development, NAB has arrested Abdul Waheed Butt, Deputy Director of Star Land Marketing (Pvt.) Ltd., along with prior arrests of the company’s CEO Bilal Hassan and Regional Director Iftikhar Ahmed. The accused allegedly defrauded citizens via “Halal” real estate investment schemes, misappropriating approximately Rs. 3.73 billion. NAB is actively investigating, tracing assets, and recovering public funds. Affected individuals are directed to submit claims with supporting documentation by 5 March 2026 for timely resolution.
NAB emphasized that investigations will be conducted transparently, and offenders will face strict legal action, signaling zero tolerance against large-scale public fraud.
