Punjab CM Monitors Ramadan Bazaar Prices, Records 35% Savings for Citizens

Lahore, February 19, 2026: Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, visited Ramadan Convenience Bazaars across the province, ensuring essential commodities are sold at up to 35% below market rates. She reviewed operations at the provincial control room and conducted live customer feedback calls at Mian Plaza, Johar Town.
A total of 75 bazaars are monitored via central digital systems, including 49 convenience markets, 15 “on-the-go” outlets, and 11 district markets. Free home delivery services have facilitated 333,351 orders worth PKR 453.35 million, saving citizens PKR 117.54 million compared to open-market rates. Security personnel, walk-through gates, and metal detectors ensure safe shopping for the public.
The CM emphasized transparency, price stability, and public convenience in all Ramadan markets, adding that digital monitoring reduces crowding while guaranteeing affordable access to essential items.
