Quetta, February 19 – Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has declared a stringent stance against any artificial inflation, hoarding, or profiteering during the upcoming Ramadan, emphasizing that safeguarding public welfare is the government’s foremost duty.
In a statement from Quetta, the Chief Minister instructed all relevant departments to rigorously monitor markets throughout the holy month, ensuring that essential goods remain accessible at officially regulated rates. He underscored that any attempt to exploit the public through price manipulation will be met with immediate and uncompromising action.
Alongside these measures, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti unveiled a comprehensive Ramadan relief program aimed at supporting 328,000 families across Balochistan. This initiative is designed to protect vulnerable and low-income households from inflationary pressures, guaranteeing tangible relief during Ramadan.
To maintain accountability, the distribution of aid will be overseen by eight-member District Development Committees, ensuring that assistance reaches the intended beneficiaries efficiently and equitably.
The Chief Minister reiterated the provincial government’s commitment to strengthening public support during the holy month, warning that any negligence or mismanagement will not be tolerated. He encouraged citizens to report any violations, price irregularities, or issues with the relief package directly to the Chief Minister’s Complaint Cell for swift resolution.
Mir Sarfaraz Bugti affirmed that all available governmental resources will be deployed to respond to public concerns and ensure maximum facilitation for citizens throughout Ramadan.
