QUETTA, Feb 20: The Balochistan Revenue Authority (BRA) has directed individuals and businesses providing services related to the sale, purchase, or rental of immovable property to complete their registration immediately and file tax returns within stipulated deadlines.
Under the Balochistan Sales Tax on Services (BSTS) Act 2015, amended through the Finance Act 2025, a five percent sales tax is applicable on services linked to real estate transactions and hiring arrangements.
The authority stated that real estate agents, property dealers, and other service providers must ensure compliance with tax obligations and timely submission of returns. Failure to register, pay due taxes, or submit returns may result in penalties and legal action under the law.
BRA urged stakeholders to fully comply with tax regulations to avoid complications and contribute to provincial revenue generation.
