Independent Report
KALAT, Feb 20: The district administration of Kalat has issued an official price list to regulate market rates and curb profiteering. Authorities warned that strict legal action will be taken against shopkeepers found charging above the notified rates.
Citizens have been urged to check the official price list before making purchases and to ensure that it is visibly displayed at shops. In case of violations or if a retailer fails to display the government-approved rates, residents are encouraged to report complaints immediately.
The district administration has established dedicated complaint cell numbers — 0844-210820 and 0336-7970773 — to facilitate prompt action against profiteers. Officials emphasized that the measure aims to protect consumers from unjustified price hikes and ensure fair market practices.
The administration reiterated its commitment to monitoring markets regularly and taking swift action against violators to maintain price stability and safeguard public interests.
