Shah Latif police, acting on a tip-off, conducted a raid in Mirani Goth and arrested three suspects involved in selling unsafe meat.
During the operation, the police recovered dead animals from the suspects’ possession, which were being prepared for sale to residents and various hotels.
The rickshaw used to transport the unsafe meat was also seized under legal authority.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Muhammad Arshad, Owais, and Hasnain. They, along with other accomplices, were involved in distributing meat from dead animals to multiple areas in the city.
Police raids are ongoing at other locations to apprehend additional members of the network.
A case has been registered under legal provisions, and further investigation is underway.
