NASIRABAD, Feb 20: The District Health Committee meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Zulfiqar Ali Karrar, reviewed healthcare delivery, staff attendance, and availability of medicines across the district.
Officials presented briefings on medical facilities, operational challenges, and actions taken against absentee doctors and staff. The deputy commissioner directed strict monitoring of laboratories and warned against conducting prohibited tests.
He emphasized that doctors must remain present at their assigned stations to facilitate patients, particularly those traveling from remote areas. Instructions were issued to ensure uninterrupted supply of medicines in all health facilities, including the Civil Hospital.
Surprise inspections will be conducted to assess on-ground performance, and strict departmental action will be taken against negligent staff. Authorities reiterated that public health and access to basic medical services remain top priorities of the district administration.
