Sakrand (Report: Rajkumar Oad)
Two months after the body of Rahul Jandahoro, a temple caretaker and 11th-grade student, was found, his family and civil society in Sakrand continue to protest for the arrest of his killers.
Organized by the Rahul Jandahoro Action Committee, a peaceful rally and sit-in were led by Rahul’s father, Bejal Jandahoro, and mother, Isto Bai, from Haideri Mosque to Sakrand Police Station.
A large number of leaders and citizens, including Mukesh Jandahoro, Hussain Kario, Rashid Makram, and Ayub Koso, participated, with women and children also joining the protest.
Leaders said that despite two months passing, no significant progress has been made in bringing the perpetrators to justice. They alleged that the case challan has not been submitted and the post-mortem report has been altered.
Protesters warned that the peaceful struggle would continue in phases until the killers are arrested and justice is served.
