Sakrand (Report: Rajkumar Oad)
At Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Veterinary University Sakrand, six students protesting for their legitimate demands were suspended by Registrar Muhammad Khan Bhangwar.
The protest was organized to highlight issues including water shortages on campus, lack of hostels, and the failure to register the bachelor’s degree program with the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The suspended students are Nadir Ali Chandio, Shafiq Ahmed Jamali, Sharafuddin Jamali, Danish Ali Laghari, Ashfaq Arain, and Zubair Ahmed Kario.
According to the students, Danish Ali Laghari, Ashfaq Arain, and Shafiq Jamali had only two months left to graduate, yet they were still suspended.
The students said they had repeatedly tried to resolve their issues through negotiations and protests, but instead of addressing the concerns, the administration punished them. They demanded a transparent investigation and immediate reinstatement of their admissions.
