Islamabad, February 21: Anti Narcotics Force conducted six intelligence-based operations across multiple cities, arresting seven suspects and seizing 55.45 kilograms of narcotics worth over Rs8.3 million.
During an international interdiction operation at a courier office in Wapda Town, Lahore, officials recovered 19 kilograms of ice concealed in bukram lining of a sherwani parcel destined for New Zealand.
In separate domestic operations, 19.2 kilograms of hashish were recovered near Super Highway Karachi. Another 12 kilograms were seized from two vehicles near Kala Shah Kaku, Sheikhupura, leading to arrests. In Lahore, 558 grams of hashish were recovered from two motorcyclists, with three suspects held.
Inter-provincial operations near Motorway Toll Plaza and Sangjani Toll Plaza, Islamabad, led to recovery of 3.6 kilograms and 1.1 kilograms of hashish respectively. Cases have been registered under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997, and investigations are underway.
