Turbat, February 21, 2026 — A lecture session on the topic “Social Determinants of Health” was organized by the Department of Sociology at a public sector university in Turbat. The session aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the social factors that influence health and overall well-being.
The guest speaker, Dr. Sagheeruddin, Assistant Professor at Makran Medical College, delivered a detailed talk on various dimensions of health, including balanced nutrition, healthy lifestyle practices, and the relationship between social conditions and general welfare. He emphasized that health is not limited to physical fitness alone, but is also shaped by social, economic, and psychological factors.
