Commissioner Zhob Orders Strict Action Against Absenteeism, Calls for Immediate Improvement in Hospital Services

Zhob,Feb 22: Commissioner Zhob Division, Asif Ali Farukh, has reiterated that the provision of prompt and quality healthcare services to the public remains a foremost priority of the government.
During an unannounced inspection of the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Zhob, the commissioner reviewed administrative affairs, examined the emergency and outdoor wards, and personally interacted with patients to evaluate the standard of medical care being delivered.
Addressing the hospital management, he directed the Medical Superintendent to ensure strict compliance with duty schedules, making it clear that negligence or absenteeism among doctors and paramedical staff would not be tolerated. He warned that any instance of absence or failure to perform assigned responsibilities would invite immediate disciplinary action.
Commissioner Asif Ali Farukh stressed that the hospital administration bears primary responsibility for delivering timely treatment and maintaining high standards of medical services. He further instructed officials to focus on cleanliness across all wards, ensure the availability of essential medicines, and strengthen discipline within the facility.
The commissioner also examined the hospital’s medical equipment, reviewed the stock of medicines, and assessed other available facilities. He called for prompt and effective steps to improve overall performance and ensure that citizens receive reliable and quality healthcare services.
