Gilgit (Independent Report): The Director General of Gilgit Development Authority, Izharullah, conducted a detailed inspection of the ongoing ADP-funded sewerage project in Nawaz Sharif Colony, Jutial. He was accompanied by Director Engineering Engineer Arif Hussain, Deputy Director Engineering Engineer Mazhar Sohail, and relevant contractors.
During the visit, officials briefed the DG on the pace of work and construction standards. He directed that the project be completed within the shortest possible timeframe without compromising quality. The progress on the gravity main sewer line was also reviewed, where he expressed satisfaction but instructed the team to further accelerate the pace.
Later, the DG inspected the under-construction green belt project at the Square area, directing contractors to ensure timely completion so that plantation activities could commence during the current season. He expressed displeasure over quality lapses and ordered immediate corrective measures alongside strengthened supervision mechanisms.
