Anwar Adil Khanzada) Captain Owais Zafar Khanzada has been promoted from Executive Officer of the New York Police Department Traffic Enforcement District to Commanding Officer (New York). Owais Zafar Khanzada has achieved the great honor of becoming the first Muslim, Pakistani and indigenous Commanding Officer of the New York Traffic Enforcement District. He will serve as the Commanding Officer of more than 3,000 traffic enforcement agents in the New York Police Department. As Commanding Officer, 3,000 traffic agents, 600 vehicles and 23 buildings of the New York Police Traffic Enforcement District will be under his command. For the first time in American history, such a large number of traffic agents, vehicles and buildings have come under the command of a Pakistani American officer. Captain Khanzada, who came to the United States from Pakistan at the age of 13, has been serving in the New York Police for the past 17 years. After completing his education in New York, Owais Khanzada joined the New York Police Department in 2008. Owais Khanzada became a sergeant in 2013, a lieutenant in 2017, and a captain in 2020. In 2023, Owais Khanzada was promoted to the position of executive officer in the Traffic Enforcement District. Owais Khanzada, from Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan, came to the United States with his family in 1991. Pakistani and Muslim officers in the police department have congratulated Captain Owais Khanzada on being appointed commanding officer and have prayed for further success and development. It should be remembered that Owais is the talented son of the recently deceased sister of the founder of KRWWF.
