Gwadar Health Department Launches Awareness Campaign for Vaccination Drive
Gwadar, June 14, 2025 – The District Health Department, Gwadar, organized an awareness campaign to promote the upcoming “Catch-Up Vaccination Campaign” scheduled to start on June 16 and run until June 28. The campaign aims to immunize children from birth to five years old against life-threatening diseases such as measles, polio, and tetanus.
The event was attended by a diverse group of stakeholders, including religious scholars, political and social leaders, local government representatives, journalists, medical professionals, and civil society activists. Participants emphasized the crucial role of vaccination and the need to raise awareness in the community.
District Health Officer Dr. Abdul Latif Dashti urged parents to take full advantage of the campaign and ensure their children receive complete vaccination to build a healthy future generation. National Program Coordinator Dr. Abdul Waheed Baloch highlighted that the catch-up campaign is not only a guarantee for protecting children’s health but also a national responsibility that requires collective efforts.
The campaign aims to bridge the gap in vaccination coverage and protect children from vaccine-preventable diseases. The health department’s efforts are expected to contribute significantly to improving child health outcomes in Gwadar.
