Awareness Workshop on Vaccination Held in Loralai
Loralai, June 14, A workshop on vaccination awareness was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Miran Baloch. The event was attended by DHO Loralai Dr. Abdul Hamid Lahri, DDDHO Dr. Shah Zaman, Communication Officer ComNet (UNICEF), DEO Focal Person Mukhtar Luni, religious leaders, representatives from NGOs, and social personalities.
During the workshop, DC Miran Baloch emphasized the importance of vaccination and urged the participants to spread awareness about the benefits of vaccines. He stated that the health department would be launching a routine vaccination program to immunize children under five years old against 12 infectious diseases, including measles, hepatitis C, and typhoid.
DHO Loralai Dr. Abdul Hamid Lahri informed the participants that the health department has made all necessary preparations for the campaign, which will run from June 16 to June 28, 2025. He added that outreach teams and fixed-site teams would be working together to vaccinate children and protect them from life-threatening diseases.
The workshop highlighted the importance of collaboration between the health department, NGOs, and the community to ensure the success of the vaccination campaign and promote a healthier future for children in Loralai.
