Lahore, June 14 (PPI): An important meeting chaired by IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar was held, where discussions on the formation of special and sniper teams took place. It was decided to take steps for the participation of Punjab Police in international shooting competitions, which aim to participate in national and international contests. This initiative is a strategy to showcase the skills and shooting capabilities of their special forces on an international level, thus enhancing the global recognition of Punjab Police.
IG Punjab issued directives to ensure the participation of various prestigious special forces of Punjab Police in international shooting competitions. The focus is on selecting top-tier police commandos and snipers, who will be equipped with modern weapons and undergo rigorous training. This procedure aims to prepare them to compete effectively at an international level.
This move aligns with the broader goal of elevating the standards of the Punjab Police special forces to match those of the world’s renowned civilian armed forces.
