Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy (KPJA) Peshawar. As many as Fifteen (15) recenly promoted Senior Civil Judges/Judicial Magistrates/Aa’la Illaqa Qazis are participating in the training program.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Mr. Justice S M Attique Shah, Hon’ble the Chief Justice, Peshawar High Court/ Chairman KPJA, as the chief guest. Mr. Jehanzeb Shinwari, Director General, KPJA, Mr. Ahmad Iftikhar, PSO, Mr. Zia Ur Rahman, Dean Faculty, Mr. Dost Muhammad Khan, Senior Director Administration, Dr. Qazi Ataullah, Senior Director Research & Publication, and other directors and officers of KPJA also attended the ceremony.
Hon’ble the Chief Justice, Mr. Justice S M Attique Shah in his address remarked that Senior Civil Judges/ Aa’la Illaqa Qazis hold a key position within the judicial system, serving as seasoned mid-career officers, tasked with a broad range of responsibilities encompassing judicial, administrative, and financial domains. He further highlighted that Senior Civil Judges/Aa’la Illaqa Qazis have a long way to tread upon and it is hoped that they will set forth such values and the metrics which will improve judicial system. He further added that a large number of civil, criminal, and family cases are pending in the district judiciary, which will require us to work day and night to resolve them. He further highlighted that it is our constitutional responsibility to provide inexpensive, expeditious and affordable justice to all citizens. He expressed hope that the training program would increase knowledge of the participants and will also improve their professional skills, conduct, and attitude.
He impressd upon the trainees to be agents of change and improve the image of the Judiciary through their performance, and let no stone remain unturned in this regard.
Earlier, Mr. Jehanzeb Shinwari Director General, KPJA welcomed the participants and thanked the Hon’ble Chairman KPJA/Chief Justice, Peshawar High Court for gracing the inaugural session. He highlighted that the graded training course has been designed keeping in view contemporary challenges. He further highlighted that a comprehensive training program is set to significantly enhance the skills of professionals within the judicial system. He further elaborated that the program is designed to cultivate stronger leadership, improve administrative efficiency, and promote transparent justice delivery. He hoped that the training will substantially improve the professional skills and knowledge of the trainees.
