ISLAMABAD, Jul 04 : Ali Nawaz, a proud son of Hyderabad and serving constable in Islamabad Police, has made history by clinching a silver medal in the 86kg cruiserweight category at the World Police and Fire Games 2025, in Birmingham Alabama, the USA.
In a thrilling final bout on Friday, Ali Nawaz narrowly lost to his Australian opponent in a split decision, falling short by just one point.Talking to APP on phone from the USA, the talented boxer expressed both pride and gratitude. “Alhamdulillah, history has been made,” said an elated Ali.
“Winning the silver medal at the World Police Games is an honour not just for me but for the entire Islamabad Police and the people of Pakistan. I am the first-ever Pakistani police boxing athlete from Islamabad Police to achieve this distinction at this coveted global event.”
The talented boxer dedicated his silver medal to the martyrs of the Pakistan Armed Forces and the “brave hearts of Islamabad Police.” He also extended heartfelt thanks to
