Lahore, August 2, 2025 : Sixteen graduate students of the National Institute of Public Policy’s fourth internship group had a firsthand look at the inner workings of Punjab Police during their visit to the Central Police Office. These students represent various educational institutions.
The delegation met with Additional IG Training Punjab, Tariq Rustam Chohan, and AIG Operations Punjab, Zahid Nawaz Marwat. Marwat provided an overview of the organization’s operational strategies, challenges, and functions. Topics discussed included law enforcement procedures, crime investigation, traffic control, operations management, and community engagement.
Police officials highlighted technological advancements, specialized investigative techniques, and prompt case registration as key elements of their approach. Improvements in infrastructure, along with better crime records, human resources, and IT systems, were also demonstrated.
