The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) has made a significant breakthrough in Quetta, uncovering a secret factory producing counterfeit cold drinks. The factory, located on Kachi Baig Kumbarani Road, was manufacturing fake versions of popular beverages, including Sting, Sprite, Dew, Coca-Cola, and Fanta. During the raid, the BFA seized thousands of liters of substandard cold drinks, labels, empty bottles, and filling machines.
The factory’s products were being supplied to various districts, including Quetta, posing a significant risk to public health. The BFA has sealed the factory, confiscated the fake products, and initiated further legal proceedings against the owners.
BFA Director-General Waqar Khurshid Alam emphasized that the authority will continue to take strict action against those compromising public health. He warned that consuming such products can be hazardous to human health and urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to counterfeit goods.
The BFA advises the public to be cautious and report any complaints regarding fake products. The authority is committed to ensuring consumer safety and will take stringent measures against those involved in producing and distributing counterfeit goods.
