Hyderabad, August 17, 2025 : The Hyderabad Sports Association cricket team emerged victorious after defeating Karachi in the final match of the Wahi Chair Basketball Tournament.
Six teams from Karachi and Hyderabad participated in the competition, organized in collaboration with the Sindh Sports Association, Wahi Chair Basketball, and the Hyderabad Sports Association Sports, Culture, and Video Association. Tournament coordinator, Syed Ahmed Tanveer, highlighted the importance of sports in positive community development. He also acknowledged the sponsorship from Wahi Chair Basketball. Distinguished guests present at the final included Syed Nisar Ali Shah, Ghazi Siddique Jani, Rahim Shah, and Ahmed Nadeem.
Special guest Syed Habib Sindh Habib and President of Pakistan Wahi Chair Basketball, Sohail Siddiqui, distributed awards and cash prizes to the best-performing teams. Members of the organizing and technical committees, including Munir Shah Ghazi and Ali Shah Ghazi, were also present. Representatives of the Sindh government, including Sports Advisor Sania Naz, Sports Secretary Riaz Ahmed Hijri, and Naveed Qasmani, also attended the event.
President of Hyderabad Sports Association, Advocate Ahmed Buchi, expressed his joy at his team’s victory and thanked the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Hyderabad, among other officials, for their support. He appealed for further recognition and incentives for the winning players.
