A comprehensive awareness session on climate change and tree plantation was organized at Turbat University under the aegis of the Directorate of Student Affairs in collaboration with the Green Youth Movement Club and Progressive Climate Foundation. The session highlighted the importance of environmental conservation, proper waste management, and tree plantation, with active participation from students and faculty members.
The session emphasized the need for adopting environmentally friendly practices and the role of youth in leading climate action initiatives.
The event concluded with a tree plantation drive in the university campus, reflecting Turbat University’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
The Vice-Chancellor of Turbat University, Dr. Gul Hassan, appreciated the efforts of the Green Youth Movement Club, Progressive Climate Foundation, and the Directorate of Student Affairs for their collaborative efforts in promoting environmental awareness.
The objective of organizing such programs is not only to raise environmental awareness in society but also to empower students to play a leadership role in creating a green and environmentally secure future.” – Jeend Baloch, Focal Person, Green Youth Movement Club. – Dr. Gul Hassan stated that Turbat University is committed to fulfilling its national responsibilities and contributing to the achievement of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He emphasized that the university will continue to support such initiatives to promote sustainable practices and environmental conservation among youth.
