SIBI: Secretary Regional Transport Authority and Assistant Commissioner Sibi, Mansoor Ali Shah, in collaboration with the Provincial Transport Authority Quetta, carried out a large-scale crackdown on transporters flouting traffic and motor vehicle laws along National Highway N-65.

 

During the operation, the team thoroughly inspected documents of vans, Shahzoors, trailers, goods carriers, and gas bowsers, checking route permits, fitness certificates, driving licenses, and other required paperwork. Several transporters were fined for incomplete or invalid documents.

 

The crackdown also targeted unsafe practices, including overloading, installation of unauthorized iron grills, and carrying passengers on rooftops. Violators faced immediate penalties, while multiple drivers were warned to obtain valid route permits without delay or risk stricter legal consequences.

 

Assistant Commissioner Mansoor Ali Shah emphasized that such operations will continue to ensure safe and secure travel on highways. He warned that overloading and violations of traffic laws will not be tolerated, reaffirming that protecting the lives and property of citizens is the administration’s top priority.
