Quetta, 23 September 2025 – Under the direction of Secretary Food, Manzar Javed Ali, the Balochistan Food Authority intensified inspections of milk and yogurt across various locations, including Samungli, Khizi Chowk, Hazar Ganji, Jatak Stop, Kasi Road, Mekangi, and Gwale Mandi. Authorities penalized nine suppliers and shop owners for selling substandard products, confiscated 150 liters of adulterated milk, dry milk powder, and 140 kg of poor-quality yogurt, and conducted immediate testing of 7,470 liters of milk through mobile labs. Officials confirmed the presence of water and powdered milk adulteration in collected samples, and emphasized that operations against adulteration will continue without interruption.
