Gilgit, September 28 – The Provincial Chief of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority (SMEDA), Rashid Aman, along with Manager Suhail Jan, held a meeting with Secretary Industries, Labour and Commerce Gilgit-Baltistan, Shahzaib Sheikh. The discussions centered on the establishment of SMEDA in Gilgit-Baltistan and its role in economic growth.
Secretary Shahzaib Sheikh highlighted that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are the backbone of any economy. He stated that SMEDA’s establishment will help promote local businesses, generate employment, and stabilize the region’s economy on sustainable foundations.
Director General of the Gilgit-Baltistan Board of Investment and Trade, Shahid Ali, also emphasized that SMEDA will play a vital role in attracting investment and improving the overall business environment in the region.
