Security sources in Bajaur have revealed that militants of Fitnah al-Khawarij dug secret tunnels inside several homes, which were reportedly used to store weapons and serve as hideouts.
According to sources, these militants carried out organized terrorist operations against the state and civilians while hiding in these residences.
During recent security operations, authorities recovered these tunnels along with large weapons caches, which were presented as evidence to the public.
Security officials stated that despite these concrete evidences, some miscreants continue to accuse security forces of targeting civilians, either out of ignorance or deliberate oversight.
Experts warn that using civilians and their homes as human shields by Fitnah al-Khawarij is an extremely dangerous and condemnable act.
