Quetta (Staff Report): Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has declared corruption as the province’s biggest challenge, emphasizing that without eradicating this menace, governance and development goals cannot be achieved.

Addressing trainee officers during his visit to the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) Quetta, the CM stressed that corruption is even more dangerous than terrorism and eliminating it is essential for national stability.

Bugti urged officers to uphold honesty, integrity, and dedication in their professional lives, adding that true public service means solving the problems of the common man who suffers from extreme weather conditions.

Citing Article 5 of the Constitution, he said every citizen is bound to unconditional loyalty to the state, making integrity a core principle in all walks of life. He added that the perception of Balochistan presented internationally differs from ground realities. “While uneven development supports terrorism, it is not its root cause,” he said.

The CM asserted that the war against terrorism is not limited to the military alone but is a collective battle of the entire nation. He noted that the missing persons issue is being exploited by anti-state elements as a propaganda tool, which can only be countered through national unity and mutual trust.

He further reiterated that the state comes first and the government will confront every conspiracy with resolve. At the end of the ceremony, the CM distributed certificates among graduating officers and planted a commemorative tree at NIPA Quetta.
