Sakrand: The Pooj Hindu Panchayat Sakrand held the oath-taking ceremony for its newly elected office-bearers for the years 2025-2026 at Dharamshala Sakrand. The event was attended by MPA Ghulam Qadir Chandio and Town Committee Chairman Syed Uzair Akhtar Shah as chief guests.
The ceremony included three phases: the Executive Council members took their oath from Election Committee Chairman Nathar Mal, Chairman Dr. Prem was sworn in by Syed Uzair Akhtar Shah, and the Working Committee members were administered their oath by Dr. Prem.
During the event, traditional Boski shawls were presented to the chief guests and all newly elected members. Newly elected Mukhi Krishan Chand welcomed the guests, urging all members to work together for the development of the Hindu community.
Speaking at the ceremony, Syed Uzair Akhtar Shah congratulated the office-bearers and assured the Panchayat of continued support from the Sakrand Town Committee. MPA Ghulam Qadir Chandio highlighted religious harmony, stating, “All human beings hold equal value regardless of religion. I extend my full support to the newly elected officials.”
Prominent attendees included Haji Munir Ahmed Magsi, Qazi Javed Sanai, President of National Press Club Ghulam Qadir Chandio, Ghulam Haider Solangi, and Ahsan Raza Bhatti.
The ceremony emphasized unity and collaboration, reinforcing the Panchayat’s commitment to serve the Hindu community in Sakrand.
