Turbat, October 7, 2025: Brigadier Umar Tahir, Commandant of Makran Scouts, visited Turbat University and met with Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Gul Hassan at his office. The meeting was also attended by Registrar Gungzar Baloch, Director of Public Relations Ejaz Ahmed, and Project Coordinator Dr. Kamal Baloch.
During the meeting, the Vice-Chancellor briefed Brigadier Tahir on the university’s remarkable achievements in education and infrastructure in a short span of time. He highlighted that over 60 academic programs will be offered for Spring 2026 admissions, keeping in mind the demands of the job market. Professor Dr. Gul Hassan also emphasized the university’s initiatives to engage youth in constructive activities, promote digital skills, and foster national unity and harmony.
Brigadier Umar Tahir appreciated the efforts of the Vice-Chancellor and his team in the continuous development of the university. He pledged full support for providing essential resources, including furniture, computer systems, and the establishment of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) lab, to further enhance the university’s academic and research activities.
Following the meeting, Brigadier Umar Tahir toured various parts of the university, including the Senate Hall, under-construction and completed faculty offices, academic blocks, and hostels under the Phase-Two project. Project Coordinator Dr. Kamal Baloch briefed the Commandant on the project standards, financial matters, and the progress of ongoing construction work.
