KARACHI: Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah addressed the 25th Annual Convention of the Management Association of Pakistan (MAP), extending a warm welcome to all distinguished guests, business leaders, and management professionals, and commending MAP’s decades-long contribution to professional development in Pakistan.
The Chief Minister congratulated MAP for achieving remarkable milestones and praised its pivotal role in promoting professional excellence for over six decades. “Karachi, the economic hub of Pakistan and the pride of Sindh, is the ideal venue for such an event where the brightest minds gather to exchange ideas,” he said.
Highlighting Pakistan’s current challenges, Murad Ali Shah stated that the nation is navigating through a critical phase marked by economic, environmental, and infrastructure challenges. He emphasized that true progress lies beyond political interests and depends on strategic management, human resource development, and technological adaptation.
“Relying solely on resources is not enough. Sustainable success requires efficient use of human capital and continuous improvement in systems performance,” he remarked.
The Chief Minister appreciated MAP’s contribution in modernizing management practices, saying, “MAP has redefined administrative excellence through innovative training, leadership programs, and skill development that prepare future leaders.”
He further stated that Sindh’s development vision revolves around fostering an environment where merit and professional competence are the only criteria for success. The Sindh government, he added, is committed to enhancing technical and vocational training through institutions like STEVTA.
Murad Ali Shah outlined key initiatives, including expansion of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) network, completion of the K-IV Water Supply Scheme, and investment in urban renewal, healthcare, and infrastructure rehabilitation. “A strong economy demands robust infrastructure and a skilled workforce,” he asserted.
He also lauded MAP’s partnership with the Sindh government in conducting training workshops for senior officers, calling it a valuable step toward administrative excellence.
Referring to MAP’s convention theme on leadership, he said, “Leadership is not about authority but about enabling potential, driving innovation, and maintaining integrity.”
Concluding his address, the Chief Minister called for collective efforts toward building a progressive, well-governed, and economically strong Sindh, inviting professionals and organizations to work together for a sustainable and prosperous future.
“Together, we can build a Sindh that stands as a model of economic strength, good governance, and professional excellence for the entire nation,” he affirmed.
